Membranes/Membranen
Institut für Alles Mögliche,
Berlin, Germany
June 2024
Showcasing my body of work, Membranes/Membranen, during my residency at Institut für Alles Mögliche, in Berlin, Germany, in June 2024. This body of work is inspired by ecosystems and computer systems. Through an interdisciplinary approach, I explore how networks both digital and physical connect us and separate us from nature and each other. By utilizing painting, coding, patternmaking, laser cutting, collage, and digital printing, I created new media works that seek to abstractly simulate forms found in the natural world, while showing the tension within simulated forms.

Lighthouse Arts Center,
Hope Sound, Florida
February 2024
In Fall 2024, I was awarded First Place in the Nature Inspires Art Contest, hosted by The Nature Conservancy. My oil painting, Bite, was created in response to the shark fishing tournament in Jupiter, Florida in the summer of 2023. Sharks are an apex predator and by practicing unsustainable fishing habits and removing them from the environment we are hurting our oceans and harming the already dwindling shark populations.

"Her Temple, featuring painter and poetess Isabella Al-Sharif, is an enchanting exhibition that embodies portraits of strength, power, and multidimensional layers of feminine divinity. Through intricate brushwork and ethereal gold leaf, her portraits evoke reverence and empowerment, weaving a thread of unity between women of all races, backgrounds, and ethnicities. As viewers immerse themselves in this visual odyssey, they are invited into a world where unity, strength, and spirituality intertwine in poetic harmony, bridging the gap between observer and artwork."
Open
Wallspace at Grassroots Coffee, Thomasville Center for the Arts,
Thomasville, Georgia
Open was a solo exhibition of Hannah Keats's oil paintings that depicts pomegranates coming apart. Jucy, rich, and dripping into the void, the work grapples with themes of intimacy and belonging while showcasing the beauty of opening up. Rendering yourself vulnerable for others to see and find connection.
